Video Cloud Basics: Activating and Deactivating a Video

In this topic you will learn how to activate and deactivate videos using the Media module.

The Status column in the Media module indicates whether the video has finished processing. Active videos can be played in a Brightcove Player; deactivated videos cannot. Deactivating a video does not remove it from the list.

Steps

  1. Select the checkbox next to the video. The bulk-action bar appears at the bottom of the page.
  2. Click More actions (the three-dot icon) on the bulk-action bar.
  3. Click Activate or Deactivate. The menu item shows Deactivate when the video is active, and Activate when it is inactive.

You can also activate or deactivate a single video from the More actions (three-dot) menu at the top-right of the video details page.
